Are you looking for a Jack the Ripper Walk with a difference? One that is consistently led by experts who know every twist and turn of the world's greatest and best known murder mystery? Then look no further. Our walk has been wending its way through the shadows of London's East End since 1982 and to this day it is the only Jack the Ripper Walk in London to be consistently led by experts on the subject.
From the moment you meet your guide outside the Toynbee Hall Exit of Aldgate East Underground Station to when you arrive at Aldgate station at the end of the tour, you will be walking the very streets that Jack the Ripper stalked in 1888.
The route we take is the most atmospheric of all the Jack the Ripper Walk for it starts in the very heart of the area and goes immediately into an old cobblestone alleyway where many believe the first killing by the unknown miscreant, who later became known as Jack the Ripper, occurred. Having passed beneath the creepy old arch that leads in to it we pause outside a building that dates back to 1886 and which in 1888, the year of the murders, was a shelter for homeless girls. You guide will tell you how it featured in the publicity that surrounded the Whitechapel Murders and provide an insight into the social conditions at the time of the killings.

From here our Jack the Ripper Walk twists and turns its way through a veritable warren of crumbling alleyways and time worn streets as you follow in the footsteps of the Victorian Police as they raced against time to catch the killer before he struck again. With the help of contemporary newspaper reports your guide will spirit you back to that long ago autumn of terror and you will get a genuine feel for what it must have been like to live in the area at the time.
Thrawl Street where Mary Nichols, who is now believed to have been the first victim of Jack the Ripper, was living at the time of her murder.
Fournier Street, Princelet Street and Wilkes Street, three truly atmospheric old streets that are lined with 18th century houses that are just as they were at the time of the Jack the Ripper Murders.
Hanbury Street where Annie Chapman was murdered a week after Mary Nichols. The south side of the street is still just as it was in 1888.
You will pass the Ten Bells Pub and pause to look up at the tower and spire of Christchurch Spitalfields, an awe inspiring building that dominates the area today just as it did in 1888.
We will show you where Miller's Court was located where the final victim of Jack the Ripper, Mary Kelly, was murdered on 9th November 1888.
You will see the doorway in which Jack the Ripper left his only clue and on the wall which a sinister message was scrawled.
All this and much more is included on our Jack the Ripper Walk and since it is our policy to give you as much information of possible BEFORE you join us for the tour you will be able to study in advance how each location features in the Jack the Ripper story and in so doing will be able to enjoy your tour even more.
