Today, here at the good ship Jack the Ripper tour, we are launching a mission to rebuild the East End of London with a series of on line Jigsaw puzzles in which you can piece back the murder sites – well, errr, piece by piece!
THE TASK IS AT HAND
The premise is a simple one. We have created a series of Jigsaw puzzles of the various Jack the Ripper murder sites, as well as other locations that are related to the story, and we invite you to see how long it will take you to piece them together and rebuild Jack the Ripper’s London piece by piece.
So, today we launch our first on line puzzle with Buck’s Row, the first murder site, where Mary Nichols was murdered on August 31st 1888.
WATCH OUR FILM ON BUCK’S ROW
It’s always a good idea to familiarize yourself with the scene. So, if you wish, you can watch our short film of Buck’s Row then and Now, to gain an idea of the location.
HOW TO PLAY
Please be sure to keep all the pieces on the white section as if you move them off you will discard the pieces and have to start all over again. Also, if you can’t see a piece and think you’ve lost one – or that we’ve deliberately hidden one to frustrate you – the likelihood is that you’ve inadvertently hidden it behind another piece.
WHY NOT SHARE IT?
Once more, why not share this jigsaw puzzle with your friends and see which one of you gets the highest score, or succeeds in rebuilding this particular Jack the Ripper murder site in the fastest time.
Don’t forget, or if you’re new to this, when you successfully slot a piece into the right place you will hear a “beep,” which can be extremely satisfying after a few wrong moves – if, that is, you happen to make any wrong moves.
Okay, are you ready? GO!
