Welcome to the Jack the Ripper Walk of London, a full tour of the London where the infamous murders took place in 1888. It can be done as a fully self-guided walk  using the step by step directions provided, or if you you would prefer it can be done from the comfort of your own home, looking at the photographs of the streets and murder sites as they were in 1888 and as they are now. In addition the site features a series of unique and original video presentations that take you step by step through the murders and feature many previously unseen historic photographs of The East End of London in the late 19th Century.

This Jack the Ripper Walk is completely free of charge and you are welcome to peruse the site at your leisure. Other webmasters are free to use the information that we provide but on the strict understanding that you request permission in writing first. Permission will be given on the strict understanding that a full credit is given to the Jack the Ripper Walk as originator and publisher of the material. The route has been carefully mapped out and then walked and re-walked to ensure that all the directions are correct and accurate. The modern photographs of Jack the Rippers London were taken in February 2006. The black and white photographs were taken over a period of 100 years and so the streets where the murders occurred as they were at different stages between 1888 and 1988.

The Jack the Ripper Walk has been paced out to provide a route that is both interesting and atmospheric. The East End of London has some fascinating places that you will visit and discover in the course of the tour. But like any big city there are those who are interested in disrupting other people's enjoyment with criminal activity. To that end it is not recommended that you do the Jack the Ripper walk on your own at night . Where there are unsafe areas we will highlight this in the text and will warn you against walking through certain places at night. Please heed the warnings as your personal safety is of the utmost importance to us. Obviously things can happen and by taking our self guided Jack the Ripper Walk you do so on the strict understanding that we will not be held responsible for any mishaps  that might occur. You agree to be responsible for your own personal safety and well being at all times during the course of the tour. However, that said, we have been walking these streets for 24 years without mishap. If you are street wise you should be able to enjoy a fascinating and informative journey that is both safe and hassle free.
