One of the things we introduced a few years ago on our Youtube Channel, was a series of videos that offered the viewer an opportunity to take our quizzes by video, as opposed to on the page, as is the case with our monthly Jack the Ripper challenges.
THE VIDEO QUIZZES
The idea behind the quizzes was to give a more visual format to our offerings that would test a viewer’s knowledge of the Whitechapel murders, the investigation into the crimes, and the history of the East End in general.
To that end, I put together a series of questions that would do just that and you can enjoy them, along with many of our other videos on our YouTube channel.
PERFECT FOR CHRISTMAS
With Christmas now approaching, I thought it might be a nice idea to give those who enjoy the quizzes that we put out every month to be able to spend a bit of time putting their knowledge of the Jack the Ripper case to the test.
After all, you can only enjoy so many Christmas films and so many repeats of old Christmas films, dramas, and comedies on television!
So, get yourselves a pen and a piece of paper, or a favoured jotter or journal, and get ready to pit your wits against the question master!
THE JACK THE RIPPER TRUE OR FALSE QUIZ
Our first quiz is a good, old-fashioned, true or false quiz.
In the course of the challenge, you will hear a series of statements and facts about the murders – or about the history of the murders, and you will have to jot down whether those statements or facts are true or false.
It’s as simple as that.
So, here is the quiz.
SO YOU THINK YOU KNOW ABOUT JACK THE RIPPER?
The second quiz is a more detailed quiz that tests your knowledge of many different aspects of the Whitechapel murders saga.
Everything from facts about the victims, to the names of the police officers who investigated the case, to locations that featured in the crimes, as well as some of the suspects, is included in this particular quiz.
As with our monthly quizzes, these questions require you to choose your answer from a set of choices that are presented to you on the screen.
The one question you must ask yourself is, can you answer them correctly?

THE ANSWERS ARE GIVEN
Once all the questions have been read out, and once you have answered as many of them as you can or wish to, the answers, as well as a little information that explains the history behind the answers, will be read out, and you will then be able to mark your efforts and see how well you did.
And that’s all there is to it.
