It’s time for our first quiz of the year, and, for January 2024, I want to try something a little different.
Back in 2021 I launched two Jack the Ripper quizzes on YouTube, and I wanted to see i this format is one that our regular quiz takers are interested in.
Rather than answering the the usual ten questions, quiz takers can watch the following video, in which the questions are read out, and they then must choose the correct answer from a series of possible answers.
It really is self explanatory, so if you want to give it a go, simply press play on the video below, and away you go.
THE JANUARY 2024 QUIZ
THE MORE TRADITIONAL QUIZES
If, on the other hand, you would like to have a go at our more traditional style of quizzes, then please just click on the below links that will take you back to bygone January Jack the Ripper and the Whitechapel murders challenges.
A LITTLE GUIDANCE
By clicking on the above links you will be able to try two quizzes from years gone by.
As with all our quizzes, taking them is simplicity itself.
Once you start the quiz you are presented with ten questions in each quiz that pertain to the Whitechapel murders in general, and the Jack the Ripper atrocities in particular.
BE SURE TO READ THE QUESTIONS
The important think in all the quizzes is that you must read the question.
It might sound obvious, but, in this fast paced age of ours, there is a tendency for people to scan questions rather than read them (or listen to them in the case of our video quizzes).
Of course, if you do that then there is going to be the danger that you don’t answer the correct question, but rather, that you answer the question you think you are being asked.
And that is a recipe for disaster!
WILL THE OLD STYLE QUIZZES RETURN?
This quiz format is just an experiment to see if people enjoy the video format.
Since it is now a new year, I just felt it is a good time to try something new, after all, it’s been 10 years now since we launched our very first quiz.
Incidentally, if you do like this format, we have a video playlist of quizzes on our YouTube Channel.
There are two at the moment, but more will be added later this year.
