Well, as mentioned in Tuesday’s blog, the weekend engineering works are underway again now that the Olympics are over. There are several line and station closures this weekend. The Circle Line, for example, is completely closed and there are part closures on the District, Jubilee and Northern Lines.
Fortunately Aldgate East Underground Station where our tour begins isn’t directly affected and both the District and Hammersmith and City lines are running through it as normal.
However, if part of your journey entails taking the Jubilee line then it’s worth being aware that it’s closed between Green Park and Stratford, whilst the Northern Line is closed between Charing Cross and Camden Town.
Should you need to make alternative travel arrangements when planning your journey then you can check out our journey planner by following this link.
In the meantime, it’s worth remembering our advice about allowing two minutes journey time for each station you will pass through on your way to our tour.
The guide will be waiting for you outside exit four of the station from 6.40pm and the tour will depart promptly at 7pm.
Should you be running late then please remember to take out emergency phone number with you (07946 854571) and be sure to give us a call when you arrive at the station so that our staff can direct you to where the tour is at the time of your arrival at the station.
Also, it’s worth keeping in mind that summer is ebbing to its end and the evenings are starting to get a little chillier so it’s worth bringing warm clothes. The upside is that it’s starting to get dark early now so the full, spooky atmosphere of the Jack the Ripper Tour is there for you to enjoy.
