As part of the current upgarde taking place on the Underground the tube lines that run in to Aldgate Underground Station are sometimes suspended over the weekend.
This coming weekend the Hammersmith and City Line will be suspended between King’s Cross and Barking, meaning those of you who are booked onto our Jack the Ripper Tour on Saturday and Sunday won’t be able to get to the tour using the Hammersmith and City Lines.
The good news is that the District Line is operating as normal so if you are travelling to our Jack the Ripper Walks over the Bank Holiday weekend via the District Line, you will have no problems.
The best way to get to the Jack the Ripper Tour if you were planning to use the Hammersmith and City Line is get to the District Line and use that. The best way to do this is to go to Baker Street Station and take the Bakerloo Line to Embankment Station from which you can get an eastbound District Line train to Aldgate East Station.
You could also take the Central Line to Liverpool Street Station and then follow our alternative directions which can be viewed on this web page.
We have prepared a handy PDF that gives you the step by step directions in an easily printable format. To receive this PDF just send an email to [email protected] and the alternative directions will then be sent by automated return.
So, in keeping with our motto of being “with you every step of the way” we hope his will help you to enjoy a trouble free journey to our Jack the Ripper Tour this weekend.
