Well, it’s been 5 days since we began our double event with Judy and Paul Begg giving what is effectively a master class tour of Spitalfields and Whitechapel.
We’re calling it the “double event” because not only to you get guided around the murder sites by Judy Begg, but you also get to meet Paul Begg at the end of the Jack the Ripper Tour, and, since Paul is internationally recognised as the doyen of Ripperology, you are getting to meet a big name, a top name, or even the biggest name in ripper studies.
Paul is currently writing his latest book on the Jack The Ripper murders and will be appearing in the new documentary that Richard Jones is working on, which will be a Crime Scene Investigation of the Whitechapel Murder sites. Judy has been helping Paul with his research for over 30 years and so truly up to speed on every twist and turn of this fascinating mystery. Their “double event” tours are, without doubt, going to be a highlight of the London Walking Tours scene so we’re going to be posting on the site the dates when they will be taking place.
Remember though that, unlike other London walks, we don’t operate a policy of cramming as many people onto our Jack the Ripper Tour as possible. That’s not our style. On our walks you not only get taken round by an internationally renowned expert but you get taken round in a sensibly sized group of around 34 people. What’s not to like about that?
We’ll announce the dates for the Judy and Paul Begg double events very shortly, so be sure to check back.
