Might I take this opportunity to wish you all a very Happy and Prosperous New Year.
2020 is upon us, and, not only is it the start of a fresh year, but it is also the beginning of a new decade.
So, it is with the greatest of pleasure that I welcome you to our first Jack the Ripper quiz of the 2020s.
Now, if you are an aficionado of our cunning conundrums, you will probably need to help on how the quiz operates. If that is the case, then just enter your name – or a name of your choosing – into the box below, hit the “Start” button and off you go.
HOW THE QUIZ WORKS
If you are new to our monthly challenges then you might need a little assistance.
To be honest, there isn’t a great deal of difficulty in becoming a quiz champion. The Quiz itself consists of ten questions about the Jack the Ripper atrocities and the Whitechapel murders in general. You simply have to choose the correct answer from a list of possibilities. It’s as simple as that.
To begin, you need to enter your name into the appropriate box. It can be your actual name, or it can be an assumed name. We only ask for it because once you have completed the quiz you will get a certificate giving details of the date on which you took the quiz and what your score was. So, any name will do.
Once you’ve entered a name, hit the red “Start” button and the quiz will begin.
If the quiz doesn’t start immediately, simply click on the white link directly beneath the quiz and this should solve the problem.

NO LIMITS
There are no restrictions on how long you can take, nor for how many times you can attempt the quiz.
You can spend as little or as long as you like mulling over the questions and the answers, and, if you don’t do so well on your first attempt, please feel free to try the challenge as many times as you wish.
Once you have completed the quiz, our backroom bods in the Department of Ripperology will go to work and will mark your answers. Within seconds of completion, you will be presented with our certificate of achievement.
Please feel free to share this on our Facebook page, as we do take an interest in how well our participants do.
And that’s all there is to it.
So, when you are ready to give it a go, enter the name of your choice in the box, hit “Start” – and off you go.
Wishing you every success!
