Autumn is upon us, the year is racing to an end. But, worry not, we still have a few more quizzes to test your knowledge of the Jack the Ripper case before we bid a fond farewell to 2019.
If you are one of the regulars and have been doing the quiz month after month, then you won’t need any guidance about how it all works. In that case, just type your name, or a name of your choosing, into the boxes below, hit the “Start” button – and off you go.
If you’ve never done one of our monthly quizzes before, you’ll find a little guidance on how it operates and the best way to answer the questions by scrolling a little further down the page.
HOW THE SEPTEMBER QUIZ WORKS
The first thing you have to do is type in a name – it doesn’t have to be your real name as this is only used for the certificate we award you upon completion of the quiz, which will give details of the score you obtained once you have completed the quiz.
Once you have entered a name, you then need to click on the red “Start” button and the September 2019 questions will begin.
If the quiz doesn’t start immediately – we sometimes have issues with iPads and iPhones – then just click on the white link above and this will take you to an online version of the quiz which should work without any problems.
TEN QUESTIONS
Once the quiz begins, you will have to answer ten questions of the Whitechapel murders and the people connected to the crimes in various ways. Each one of the questions requires either a multi-choice or a true or false answer.
It is important that you take the time to read the questions, as opposed to just scan them quickly, as a common cause of wrong answers is that people haven’t read the question properly and have, therefore, answered the wrong question!
Wouldn’t that be frustrating?
A CERTIFICATE ON COMPLETION
Once all the questions have been answered, hit the “Submit” button and are backroom marking team will get busy marking your answers, and, within seconds, you will be awarded a certificate, issued by our esteemed Department of Ripperlogy, on which you will find details of your score.
NO LIMITS
There is no time limit, so you can spend as much – or as little – time as you wish to on thinking over the answers.
In addition, there are no limits on how many times you can attempt the quiz, so, if you don’t do too well the first time around, don’t be downhearted, simply have another go and keep on trying until you achieve a score to be proud of!
And, that’s all there is to it.
So, when you are ready, enter a name in the box above, hit the red “Start” button, and away you go.
Good luck – oh, and enjoy the quiz.
