Sherlock Holmes

One of the strange aspects of the Jack the Ripper case is that the murders in the East End of London took place around the same time that the Sherlock Holmes stories were just beginning to capture the popular imagination. So here is a little film shot on Baker Street where Arthur Conan Doyle based his immortal characters Sherlock Holmes and Dr John H. Watson.

Another strange aspect is that many people throughout the world believe that Sherlock Holmes actually existed and that Jack the Ripper was a work of fiction!

In this film Richard Jones of the London Jack the Ripper Tour takes you along Baker Street and introduces you to the locations that inspired Conan Doyle in the creations of the world’s most famous Consulting Detective.
